Medical Assistant

Department: Clinical Staff CC25
Location: Winter Haven, FL

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting healthcare professionals in providing quality care to patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a medical assistant program or equivalent work experience.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Proficient in basic medical terminology and computer skills.
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and patient care protocols.

Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations and treatments.
- Obtain and record patient vital signs and medical history.
- Prepare exam rooms for patient visits and procedures.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures.
- Schedule patient appointments and follow-up procedures.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with medical office tasks such as answering phones, filing, and billing.
- Uphold the highest standards of patient care and professionalism at all times.
