Front Desk Supervisor - RCM / Billing

Department: Clinical Staff CC05
Location: Miami, FL

Position Overview: The Front Desk Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the front desk and ensure smooth and efficient patient flow. This role involves managing administrative tasks, supervising front desk staff, and providing excellent customer service to patients. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a background in medical office management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Front Desk Staff: Lead, train, and support front desk team members. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

  • Patient Reception and Scheduling: Greet patients warmly, check them in, and verify their insurance information. Schedule appointments and handle rescheduling or cancellations.

  • Administrative Duties: Manage patient records, process referrals, and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Handle phone calls, emails, and other correspondence.

  • Billing and Coding: Assist with billing processes, including collecting co-pays, processing payments, and ensuring accurate coding for insurance claims.

  • Compliance and Confidentiality: Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality. Implement and uphold practice policies and procedures.

  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve patient concerns or complaints in a professional manner. Escalate issues as needed to ensure patient satisfaction.

  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage office supplies and equipment. Order supplies as needed and ensure the front desk area is well-organized and maintained.

  • Coordination with Medical Staff: Collaborate with medical providers and other staff to ensure efficient patient flow and communication between front desk and clinical areas.

Qualifications:

  • The role needs bachelor degree of equivalent at least
  • The candidate needs to be an expertise in RCM workflow. The role will be monitoring Billing and Collection of the practice to make sure we capture all reimbursement. It is preferable if the candidate has experience in Denial Management.
  • Aside from management experience in a clinical setting, the candidate will need to have more than 1 year experience working in RCM.
  • Strongly prefer candidates with experience in RCM systems and EHR – Allscripts, IDX or eCw.
  • Advanced excel proficiency, with ability to analyze data to monitor practice’s P&L.
